News from the TSSS

Fantasticalmatters

The TSSS UK is delighted to have worked on this magical project with our friends at the Down's Syndrome Association, who very generously funded this edition in collaboration with ourselves, Unique and the International Elf Service - our thanks to all involved.

This beautifully illustrated, interactive Magical Newspaper uses the wonder of the magical realm to spark important conversations with children about genetics and disability, not through deficit or superhero tropes, but with curiosity, creativity and respect.

It’s designed for schools, professionals, and families to explore how our bodies are made, and how difference is not less.

This magical resource offers a new way to talk about disability and genetics with young children, one that’s rooted in respect, imagination, and joy.

It is our hope that it will encourage positive conversation about genetic differences, understanding and tolerance. You can now play your part by sharing with your child, their siblings, teachers, health care professionals, friends and families.
