FAMILY FUN DAY UPDATE What a great day everyone had. The weather was kind to us, no sun but it was dry and warm, you cannot ask for much more. The barbecue was a big favourite, so thank you to Shaun and Stuart for being Chefs for the day, they did a great job. The face painting was also very popular – thank you to my friend Kathryn Driffield for giving up her time to paint so many faces when she should have been celebrating Fathers Day with her family. Thanks also to Nikki Smart for all the lovely cakes and to Judy & Hannah Burns for all her effort with the stalls and not forgetting Judy donating an enormous Winnie the Pooh for name the bear. Ann and Peter Sutton were, as always, giving us their help and full support before, during and after the event. THANK YOU to everyone that helped. I apologise if I have not mentioned your name but I could go on forever and ever. As the Fun Day was held on the same day as Father’s Day we didn’t have a huge amount of people attend the Fun Day. However, we did manage to raise £379, which I think is fantastic so well done all. THE FUTURE Our next events which are informal and a chance for a get together and chat, for the Girls with Turner Syndrome and their families are: An End of Summer Picnic on Sunday 18th September 2011 2.00 pm – 4.30 pm. And then: The Christmas Party on Sunday 4th December 2011 2.00 pm – 4.30 pm. Both being held at St Peters Church Hall & Grounds, Holly Lane, Balsall Common, West Midlands.
